The impact of media on children is the part of our everyday life. Children come to the contact with media from a really young age and it affects them more than we can imagine. So, to inform and educate the society about this issue is more than important. Of course, that media can have a positive impact on children, because they can learn some important values from movies or series. But the negative impact is much higher. For example, children can easily see violence in media, for example, in video games, movies, series, or advertisements and then they may think, that it is normal, if they see it every day in the media. Media content for children is also very stereotypical. Advertisements or movies for boys are usually full of cars, fighting, violence, and superheroes, who are always strong. On the other hand, the advertisements or series for girls are usually soft, full of princesses and cute animals. Whereas girls are usually portrayed as sensitive, kind, and family-caring, which might influence them as well, because women can be strong too and have successful business career, which is not shown in the media that often.

Dr. Eshleman says: “Social media makes it easy to compare oneself to another,” (Pediatrics, 2021) the she continues with: “most people put on social media what they want to see. And by using social media, all of us have the ability to access endless information anytime we want to and that can be very hard for kids.” (Pediatrics, 2021) With that being said, it is obvious, that to orient in the field of media is very hard for child...
